Mobil Service Centre sponsored British Formula 3 and GT drivers collect their hard earned end of season awards at the SRO Motorsport Group's 2012 Night of Champions in London.

Central Auto Centre has been operating from their premises situated on the A21 south of Bromley at Green Street Green, Orpington in Kent for 35 years. The garage specialises in tyres, brake and exhaust replacement, all makes of car servicing and repairs, Electronic Fault Diagnostics, MOT Testing and Air Conditioning service and repairs.

Jazeman Jaafar (Carlin) has been named as the first annual Mobil Service Centre Master of the Year after a tantalising close final vote count on the Mobil Service Centre Facebook page.

But recent independent research has found that 94 per cent of drivers in the UK were unaware of the benefits of synthetic engine oil; in fact, half of them didn’t even know why engine oil was used in their car.

Mobil recently staged a two day 'Fuel Save' event for its staff based in Leatherhead with Jenson Button attending on day two.

WP Group invited two of the Mobil Service Centres to lend a hand and we were happy to welcome representatives from Christian Cars and Service Plus.

Becky, a trainee technician from Christian Cars was only too happy to pass on her expertise and assist Jenson Button as he performed his first oil change of the day.

Mobil has kindly decided to "put their money where their mouth is" and provide oil changes for their staff based in Leatherhead.

WP Group, along with two of the Mobil Service Centres; Christian Cars and Service Plus agreed to come along and help facilitate.

Lisette Norman, attending on behalf of WP Group had the following to say; "It's going really well so far. We've changed the oil in over 40 cars, looking forward to another busy day tomorrow and to meeting the special guest..."

In 1988 out of one man’s interest in motorsport, Barry Glenister founded Autotechnics, a service centre that strived to find the middle ground between motorsport and mechanics. Now the Managing Director, Barry has transformed the Service Centre into a full flourished, popular business.

As the sun shined down and the heat rose up, Silverstone played host to an excellent three-hour round of the 2012 Avon Tyres British GT Championship.

David Fairchild, Managing Director at WP Group, awarded the victors Matt Bell and Charles Bateman with their winners’ trophies at the British GT Championships.
