Williams Garage Otterbourne survive fire

Williams Garage Otterbourne have recently been the victims of a serious fire.

They have unfortunately sustained extensive damage to most of the site but thankfully as it occurred in the early hours of the morning there were no staff on site and no one was injured. Those of you who know the site will be aware that they have a large tropical fish tank in their customer reception area, which is the home to a very large Moray Eel. Although this area was filled with smoke and all the windows cracked in the heat during the fire, his tank remained intact and he was unharmed and was quite oblivious to all that was going on around him!

Alf Underwood, workshop manager, said “We’ve got to demolish the site and start again, but we shall rise again.”

All of the staff and mechanics are on site and able to provide the full range of service and repair work that they always offer, the forecourt shop has been unaffected and is open for business.

All at Mobil Service and WP are very pleased that Williams Garage are able to continue trading through this testing time and we wish everyone well and look forward to supporting the rebuild process in 2016.
